Supplies Required
  • 1-Basket You can use any color spray paint, leave natural or any kind of basket.
  • 1-30" square of tulle
  • Clear Tape
  • 1 yard of ribbon
  • Rubber band
  • 1 or 2-bath finger tip towels
  • 1-Roll of toilet paper
  • Cut Away stabilizer or a pressure sensitive stabilizer that will cut away
  • Spray Adhesive
  • Tear Away stabilizer or wet and gone
Steps:
  1. This next step will show how to prepare the hoop for sewing the embroidery on toilet paper. Cut out a piece tear away sticky stabilizer approximately 10" X 10" and hoop it (Whatever size you need to be larger than your hoop).
  2. Cut off a length of toilet paper approximately 12" to 14" long and fold in half. Crease the end with your finger and open the toilet paper up and spray with a little spray adhesive in the middle and refold.
  3. Take your design of choice (making sure it does not exceed the width of the toilet paper you are using) and center in the middle of your toilet paper.
  4. Carefully trim the jumps with round ended scissors so you do not cut the toilet paper. Take either scissors or a rotary cutter and trim the stabilizer on the top and bottom to make same width as toilet paper.
  5. Gently take the length of embroidered toilet paper and put back on the roll. Use scotch tape to stick back on roll.
  6. Cut out at least a 25" square of tulle and place the roll of toilet paper in the middle of the tulle. Take the 4 corners of the tulle and pull up over the toilet paper and smooth the tulle in the area of the design.
