The fabric designs are created with a satin stitch to prevent raveling.

This project used tackle twill fabric, which has a plastic backing, so the fabric doesn’t ravel.

However, an iron on backing on any fabric can be used to achieve the same effect.

Materials Required:
  • Either felt or fabric to fit hoop in the color necessary for the food
  • Batting for fabric food to create dimension
  • Embroidery machine
  • Scissors
  • Clippers
  • Embroidery thread
  • Thread and bobbin to match fabric
